Charity Tribunal

The Charity Tribunal is an independent body set up under the Charities Act 2006 to :–

The Charity Tribunal only has jurisdiction in respect of Charity Commission decisions made on or after the 18th March 2008.

The Charity Commission is established by law as the regulator and registrar of charities in England and Wales.

If you are not satisfied with the Commission's final decision you may be able to appeal or make an application for review to the Tribunal. Schedule 4 of the Charities Act 2006 sets out for each type of decision who is eligible to request an appeal or apply for a review.

You do not have the "right of appeal" until you have completed the Commission's final decision review process.
